Delivery

The Epoch Times weekly paper is mailed out on Wednesday morning and will be delivered by post.

Depending on your location, there may be disparities in delivery times due to your location and other factors. Newspapers may take several business days to arrive.

If you newly subscribed to the print edition and if the subscription was purchased after Sunday midnight, your very first paper will be mailed out on Wednesday of the following week.

Payment

The subscriber will be charged in advance based on the subscription plan, which can be monthly, quarterly, annually, etc.

Auto-renewable subscriptions will be charged at the beginning of each billing cycle (unless cancelled).

For “end-of-the-month” cases, if a selected date is not present in a month (say, the 31st) for billing, then the preceding date is selected. The renewal shifts back to the original date in the subsequent month, if available. Example: The customer has signed up for a subscription that renews on the 31st of every month. The renewal of the subscription will fall on Jan. 31, Feb. 28, March 31 and so on; i.e. the subscription will renew on the last day of the month.

Trial period

The trial period can be any length and offers may vary based on the current promotion. If the subscription is not cancelled during the trial period, according to cancellation terms, the subscription will be automatically renewed to the plan that was agreed on at the time of purchase. Each subscriber can only have one trial offer per shipping address.

The Epoch Times guarantees product delivery for free or at a discounted price. The Epoch Times cannot guarantee subscribers will receive all products within the promotional trial period in the event of mishandling or delay in the shipping by the delivery company.

The launch offers for the European and UK weekly editions, do not include a trial period.

Cancellation

Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation requests have to be received 5 business days prior to the beginning of the next billing cycle. If the cancellation request is received less than 5 business days prior to the beginning of the next billing cycle, the subscriber will be charged for the next billing cycle and the cancellation will be effective at the end of that billing cycle.

All cancellation requests must be done through our self-service portal on https://epochtimes.eu/selfservice or through email on subscribe@epochtimes.eu. A cancellation confirmation email will then be sent to the subscriber.

Refunds

Refunds will be given on yearly plans only. Refunds are available for the remaining months of your subscription after cancellation, and will be calculated by the number of months you have used the service at the regular monthly rate plus a handling fee of €19,5 or £17,3.

In the event of a cancellation on other plans, no future payments will be charged, but we will not refund a prorated amount of the subscription for the days between the cancellation and the end of the current billing cycle. Purchased materials will continue to be delivered throughout the remainder of the current subscription period unless a request is made to stop delivery.

Unpaid charges

On condition that the subscriber’s payment method is no longer valid, the subscription will not be immediately cancelled. The subscriber is still responsible for all unpaid charges as well as any collection costs such as collection agency fees, attorney fees, and other fees.

Invoices

Subscribers will receive a proof of payment / invoice upon each recurring subscription payment. In line with Belgian VAT regulations, a 0% VAT applies.
